New Acquisitions

A friend from my quilting guild recently gave me a TON of sewing patterns.

Another friend gave me a basket full of tailoring tools that she does not use anymore.

Tailoring hams, ironing forms, and clappers, oh my!

  1. not just for garments - that clapper can be used after steaming a quilt block seam to clap the steam out and keep it flat. The sleeve roll is also good with purses and 3-d objects for shaping! I also love a good hem gauge and keep eyes open for good pinking shears (a must for shaping!) I've had my pinking shears since about 1988 - I have never had mine sharpened and they cut great. But I only use my sewing scissors and shears on fabric.
